About The Engineer

COMING UP AS A METALHEAD

Mason Eismon has always listened to rock and metal music. Ever since he was a newborn, his father had headphones in his ears. Transitioning into his teenage years, he found pleasure in this style of music and wanted to know how these songs were made. This is where it all started.

Very early on in his career, Mason started a band known as Pentalpha. The mixes and masters he created at first were far from what he wanted, so he worked at it diligently. Not only did his mixes get better over time, but he also took the next steps into mastering his craft. Mason enrolled in Full Sail University's Audio Production Course. His education was able to fill in the gaps that he had in his technique. With this newfound knowledge, Mason had all the tools available to create mind-blowing mixes, and he did.

Mason looked up to some Engineers such as Adam Nolly, Joey Sturgis, Jared Dines, Ryan Bruce, Glenn Fricker, and Chris Lord Alge. He studied these engineers' techniques all he could and combined them to create his ideal mixing process.
